Coaching for People with Neurodiversity
to Improve Relational Intimacy

Julius Peterson, LCSW is Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE) certified to work with neurodiverse couples together or individually.

  • Do you feel your relationships are being impaired by your neurodiversity?

  • Do you often feel misunderstood, attacked, or overwhelmed in your relationships?

  • Have you felt unfairly blamed by prior therapists for patterns in your relationships that feel hard to change?

Many people do not realize they are in a neurodiverse relationship until they see a movie, book, or podcast. Others have grown up knowing they were neurodiverse and have a strong sense of how their neurodiversity both enhances, and at times, can challenge their sense of connection with partners.

Relationships that have neurodiversity require an awareness of each partner’s neurological profile and an understanding of the role their neurological differences have on the relationship.

Coaching can be a more effective way for people with neurodiversity to improve relationship intimacy with their partners. Coaching is a more active process with clear and direct instruction and recommendations that allow a person with neurodiversity to take steps to enhance communication, physical intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction.
